The IDTANA actively promotes and supports our teacher members and dancers across North America. The organization strives to insure safe, fair, and ethical standards, in both our extensive competition circuit and within our individual member schools.

It is the mission of the IDTANA to promote Irish Dance, culture, and music throughout North America. Our experienced, accredited, and diverse membership actively engages in the promotion of Irish Dance on the local level, while collectively exploring and instituting procedures for safe, fair, and ethical rules and guidelines for best practices in teaching and competition.

Our aim is to educate the general public about the countless merits of Irish Dance and the skills developed through involvement in this athletic art form. Our ambition is that our outreach will support our membership and attract new students of all ages and backgrounds who will enjoy our safe, energetic, and dynamic art form. We endeavor to introduce the joy and health benefits of Irish Dance and music to a broader audience, and promote growth at the local level.
